José Antonio Cantó Hidalgo

Madrid, 1970. Architect by the ETSAV of the University of Valladolid, specialising in Urban Planning, Technical Architect by the EUAT of the University of Seville, specialising in Execution of Works, and Master’s Degree in Building Management by the University of Alicante.

He studied at the Politecnico di Milano with a Socrates-Erasmus scholarship.

He has extended his training by means of various specialisation courses in architectural projects for new construction, refurbishment and rehabilitation.

He has taught in the area of Graphic Expression in Architecture at the Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante and in the area of Urban and Territorial Planning at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

He has collaborated in different architectural studios, consultancy and technical assistance companies and construction companies.

He has held the position of Secretary of the Governing Board of the Territorial College of Architects of Alicante between 2017 and 2021.

In 2005 he founded the architectural firm CANTÓ ARQUITECTOS in Alicante.

In 2020 he founded the architecture studio specialising in refurbishment RHB ARQUITECTURA together with Eduardo Díez Guerrier.

He is a member of the CTAA in the Provincial Expropriation Jury of Alicante and a member of the Group of Experts and Forensic Experts of the COACV.

During his more than 20 years of experience as an architect and 25 years as a technical architect, he has developed all kinds of projects and management of new construction, refurbishment and rehabilitation, as well as all kinds of consultancy services.

He specialises in the design and management of architectural projects, and in particular in interventions on existing buildings.

The following have been highlighted at the Alicante Recent Architecture Exhibitions: El Cielo restaurant in Alicante, and the service building in the nautical-sports area 3 of the Port of Denia.
